Sunday, July 31st 2005

I woke up feeling rejuvinated at 1115am. I made some breakfast and hung out for a bit. At 1pm I hit up NYSC at 76th for some shoulders. I came home and showered.

At 315pm I took the train to Dave's apartment. Finished "Cat's Cradle" on the way over. Dave and I went to the Costco in Astoria. I was in awe of the quantity and cost of the goods. If anyone has a membership let me know. Hung out in Queens until 715 then took the train to 59th.

Met up with Detaff, his roomate, and Chris at a movie theater for 'Wedding Crashers'. It was a good comedy. Was home by 1030, read and went to sleep.

Saturday, July 30th 2005

I was deep asleep when my alarm clock went off at 1010 am. I made breakfast and got dressed and then headed over to the townhouse. I was there from 11 - 3pm. I filed some papers, swept up some broken glass, touched base with the personal shopper, and threw some trash away that was lying in the basement. I did about 1 hour of work total, and sat around for the next few hours waiting for CK to arrive.

I met up with Chris R. in the park at the Sheep Meadow. We hung out on the lawn, it was a nice day. I walked over to NYSC on 59th and biked 12 miles. I went home and showered.

I got dressed at 730 and headed over to Chris's apartment. I went along with him to Teriyaki Boy for dinner. Afterwards we took the subway to 51st and walked to Derek's apartment. Detaff had a small get together--Ashley B. showed up with some friends of hers, Rachel came through.

Around midnight we went to the bar. Boston 212 to start and then Sutton Place. Nisha and a friend of hers met up with us, as did Adam and Kirubel and a friend of theirs.

I left after 3 and made my way home.

Friday, July 29th 2005

I woke up at 730am and after my morning rituals arrived at HCID. I worked from 930 - 1230, mostly on the contacts database. I listened to NPR as it can get pretty boring.

I took an express train to 59th and picked up the Title to the 'G' which my father had Fedexed me. I relinquished my ownership and sent the document back to Boston.

I arrived at the Townhouse at 1pm. I bought some trashbags, changed an ink cartridge, and revised the schedule. I swept the back and front of the hosue. I was alone from 330 - 6pm, I read 'Cat's Cradle'. CK came back and I left.

I went home and ate some food. I then took the train to 86th and went to NYSC for some chest. I returned home, showered and made dinner. At 9pm I went over to Adam's house. Sanjit was there when I arrived. We hung out and drank some Walker. Dave rolled through and then a little later Chad came over.

At 1130 we went to the bar. we were having a good time. At the next place we went to there was a minor altercation with the bouncers. We ended up at Murphy's. I left at 3am and took the subway home. I was asleep by 4.

Thursday, July 28th 2005

I could have slept in but I got up at 745 am. After a solid breakfast and some computer time I set off form the gym. NYSC at 76th was closed due to flooding so I had to take the subway to the club on 86th. I was exhausted after an intense 50 minutes of back workout. I hopped on the train, it took me to 125th. I had to wait for what seemed like forever to get a train downtown.

When I got off at 110th, the station was swarming with cops. Police can now conduct random searches of backpacks and bags. The London bombings have scared a lot of people--it seems like they've used it as an excuse to infringe on our privacy rights.

I showered and ate and then left for the townhouse. I arrived at 1pm and hung out with Rosario. I touched base with my dad, the G has been sold. Goodbye G.

CK came through at 230. I sorted out some issues with the alarm, picked up some mail at 502 (I took the bus back and forth as I'm trying to rest-up my ankle). I got some pads of paper at Duane Reade.

CK told me I could go early but told me (once again) to report my hours as usual. I left at 415. I stopped in at the supermarket before going home. When I got in I made some food and lounged around. Really bad and lazy afternoon. Lots of reading, went to sleep at 1130pm.

Wednesday, July 27th 2005

I woke up at 730, made breakfast, listened to NPR and left for HCID. I worked on the contacts database from 935 - 1245. I listened to a few episodes of 'This American Life' while working.

I took a cab to the townhouse. Rosario and I shifted some boxes around the living room. I went to the supermarket and got some breakfast foods for CK. I dropped off a package at Fedex, and unpacked some items for an outdoor table. At 4pm I went to Midtown to pick up CK's computer.

CK said I could leave early (yet told me to report hours as usual...he's a nice guy). I bought an umbrella as the sky looked threatening and headed to Queens. I met up with Dave at his apartment. Nicole came over and later Justin. I listened to Dave and Justin jam on their guitars.

I hung out until 1045 and then went home. I took a shower and went to sleep at 1230.

Tuesday, July 26th 2005

I woke up at 730, showered and made breakfast. Its amazing how large 2/3 of a cup of oat bran looks fully cooked. I took the train to HCID and worked on some business development until Noon. Brett, Maegan and I met for a meeting until I left at 120pm.

I took the train to the townhouse. I learned CK will be in town until August 3rd. The schedule said otherwise, I was pretty annoyed by the turn of events as I was looking forward to doing some hardcore housesitting. It looks as if I'll be doing some lackadaisical personal assisting instead. :(

I dropped off CK's computer at the "Computer Doctor". It wouldn't turn on. After I got back I moved some boxes of files into CK's office. Later in the evening I unpacked A - Z and loaded them into a file cabinet.

I baked 3 lbs of chicken for dinner. I made some sandwiches and had some for dinner. I took the trash out and hung around the house reading. I left at 930 after packing up my laundry.

When I got home I put on my A/C, it was like a sauna in my apartment.

Monday, July 25, 2005

Monday, July 25th 2005

I got up at 730 and made breakfast. I left for HCID at 845 and stayed until 105pm. I stopped by 502 Park to pick up CK's mail before returning to the townhouse.

CK did not get in until after 10pm so I spent most of the day hanging out. I swept up the back yard, and thats about it. I applied to some jobs using Monster, and used the internet and IM.

I watched part of Species. Natasha Henstridge is amazing, even with her alien tentacles.

I've been watching some television lately...I'm not proud of it. There is a tv next to my desk at work, so I occasionally put it on when I'm housesitting. Some of the programs I enjoy:

1) 60 Minutes (CBS): a quality news show.

2) The O'Reilly Factor (Fox News): O'Reilly is a dickhead and I disagree with much of his 'Spin'. That being said, this show is great. O'Reilly is hilarious!

3) Penn and Teller's "Bullshit" (Showtime): These guys don't hold back. They debunk everything from Alien Abductions to Creationism. The best part is they make the people who believe their own 'bullshit' look like total assholes.

The worst reality shows on tv (I decided to focus on reality shows because 99% of tv sucks and I would have trouble narrowing it down):

1) Growing up Gotti (A&E): Its time the mob put a hit on John Gotti's former wife.

2) The Surreal Life (VH1): I might watch this show if they took their crew of washed up celebrities and locked them inside the house. The former performers would have to kill and eat one another or starve to death. I would rename it Celebrity Surviver.

3) Blowout (Bravo): There is so much wrong with this show I don't know where to start. On second thought, I do know where to start...the premise of the program. Its a reality show about a hairdresser who is a complete moron.

I read 'Cat's Cradle' until CK arrived at 1115. I helped him with his bags and then took the subway home and went to sleep.

Sunday, July 24th 2005

I was up at 830am for a large breakfast. Having a large kitchen with all the necessary accoutrements at my disposal is a great perk. I sat around for the next few hours waiting for Rachel. She relieved me at 1210pm, I was bouncing off the walls by this point.

I went to NYSC at 86th for a little while and then took the train home. I stopped off at the deli before going up to get some food. I left at 330pm, as I was going to run some errands before hitting up the townhouse. I noticed I forgot my cellphone while in the subway so I had to return to my apartment to get it.

I got in and hung out with Rachel for a little while. I Didn't do too much around the house, made a good dinner and went to sleep after doing some reading, at 1030.

Saturday, July 23, 2005

Saturday, July 23rd 2005

I woke up at 830am and prepared a good breakfast. I Hung out in the kitchen with Rachel until 10am. I Then walked over to 55th and met up with Adam. We took the E train to Penn Station to meet up with Liz, Jill and Rustam.

We hopped on the LIRR and took it to the Babylon stop. We had to take a cab to the beach, the cab driver was very personable. The beach was good; the weather was perfect and the water was refreshing. Rustam informed me of a new game entitled Beer Podium.

We had to walk a ways to get the bus back to Babylon. We left the station at 615, arriving in Manhattan at 715. Adam and I split a cab back, I went straight to the townhouse. I Hung out with Rachel for a little while, I then took a shower and made dinner.

Rustam and Adam came over at 1030 and drank some forties until 12. They went off to the bar, I watched some television and then went to sleep.

Friday, July 22nd 2005

More of the usual today. Woke up for work, I was at HCID from 930 - 120. We sent out a few proposals. I went to my apartment after work, gathered my laundry and then took it via the subway to the townhouse.

After dropping it off I went to NYSC for 45 minutes. I returned to the townhouse and showered. The evening went by quickly, I was asleep at midnight. Sorry for the weak post.

Thursday, July 21st 2005

Nothing out of the ordinary today. Rolled out of the townhouse and went to work. I was at HCID from 930 - 130pm. I went straight home after and ate some food. I went to NYSC at 59th before getting to the townhouse for some chest.

Arrived at the townhouse at 5pm, worked on some job applications, sat around. Felt worthless mostly...being a housewife must suck. Ate dinner and sat on the computer, went to sleep at 1230. Slept poorly.

Thursday, July 21, 2005

Wednesday, July 20th 2005

Nothing out of the ordinary this morning, up and out. I got to HCID at 930. I Had a productive day. We're pretty close to getting our Member Kit assembled. Worked on Adobe Illustrator for several hours.

Left at 2pm, went home and relaxed. I Fell asleep while reading on the internet. Dave called at 545, met up with him at his friend Justin's apartment on 109th and Amsterdam.

Kicked it there until 1030, the split a cab back with Dave (no walking for me). Ate and went to sleep at 1230.

Wednesday, July 20, 2005

Tuesday, July 19th 2005

I was up at 830, ate, dressed and left for work. I arrived at HCID and worked all day on a number of projects. The day crept by. There is no a/c in the living room...it was hot but not terribly uncomfortable.

We got a lot done, considering only Brett and I will be in the office this week. We should be able to send out some proposals as early as Friday. I left at 530 and went to NYSC and did some pull ups.

I was home by 630, I showered and ate some food. I had some company later in the night, I watched the rest of Jersey Girl.

Monday, July 18, 2005

Monday, July 18th 2005

I Woke up at the townhouse and walked to HCID. I said hi to Brett and worked on a proposal and then went over to meet Dr. Schneider (I picked her because she had the same last name as Adam) at 77th.

Dr. Schneider is an orthopaepic surgeon. She examined my ankle and after some x-rays told me that I have a stress fracture on my right ankle. I have been suspicious of an injury for the last five months--I was hoping it would take care of itself. Walking dogs/walking everywhere, in addition to exercise agravated (or more aptly caused) the injury.

I'm gonna have to take it easy for a while. She told me I shouldn't walk around. Considering I live in NYC this is all but impossible. For starters, I live on the fifth floor of a five floor walkup. Unless I invest in a Segway, I'm gonna be pounding the pavement regardless of my best intentions.

I walked back to work and made some changes to the website materials. I left at three and walked to 72nd where I got fitted for my boot (it was the boot or a cast) and got a cane. I hobbled to the subway at 77th (I could not bring myself to use the cane) and took the train back to 110th. I'm gonna go back tomorrow and get some crutches. I have to stay off my ankle for 6 weeks.

At 615 I went over to Dave's in Queens and hung out there until 1030 when I returned home, read for a while and went to bed at 1245.

Sunday, July 17th 2005

I was up at 11am. I ate breakfast and then headed out for a little time on the erg. I walked home and showered.

I wasted some time in the afternoon and watched 30 minutes of Jersey Girl. At 345pm I started walking over to the townhouse. There was a deluge on the way over, so I took the subway from 86th.

I got in a few minutes early and chatted with James before he left. I sat around the next few hours and got some work done on the computer. Adam came over around nine, we played som gin and I learned how to play backgammon. He left around midnight, I went to sleep not long after.

Saturday, July 16th 2005

I woke up at 1030 and ate breakfast. I sat around for a few hours and then went to NYSC and spent some time on the erg.

I watched an episode of OZ and did some writing. At 7pm I went over to Jon's and hung out with him and Evan until 1000. I met Rustam at 86th and we took the 4 train to Union Square.

We walked to Avenue C and hit up 'The Sun Burnt Cow'. Sandra from Tufts was having a birthday party there. Adam and then Nisha and Mimi met up with us at the bar.

We went to a couple of other places. Around 3 we took a car to 55th. I took the train home at 59th. I was asleep by 430.

Saturday, July 16, 2005

Friday, July 15th2005

At 730 I woke up in my own bed for the first time in a while and went about my morning routine. I walked to HCID arriving by 940am.

I did some debugging for the site in the morning. I then worked on the contacts database and edited some copy. At 120pm I left and went to NYSC for 20 minutes. I walked home and showered.

The afternoon was slightly boring. I watched the rest of 'I, Robot'. The plot was rote but the film itself was entertaining. I made somd dinner.

At 730pm I got dressed and met up with Jon S. at his apartment. After talking to Evan we went took the 4 to Town hall and walked through China town to Little Italy. We met up with some of Jon's F and M friends including Wallowick and a friend of his training for the police academy, and another kid + girlfriend.

We went to dinner at one of the many italian restaurants. Little Italy reminds me of Disney Land--it seems very contrived. After leaving we went to a bar and then another bar called Puck's Fair. We stayed there the rest of the night.

At 230 an associate of Jon stole something from a girl that lead to police involvement. Jon bailed the kid out and then proceeded to chastise him. There's nothing I hate more than a bad thief.

That ended the night. We went back to 85th and I walked home from there. I stopped at CVS to get some paper plates, plastic cups, and toothepaste. I was home by 345am, asleep by 4.

Thursday, July 14th 2005

I woke up at 730...I had another poor night's sleep. I suspect it is due to the lack of background noise and the brightness of the room (in spite of the shades). I made breakfast and packed up, I walked to HCID at 9am.

I spent the morning working with Brett and refining the portal and digest. I put in some new news articles and researched contacts for the various resources. I left at 130pm and walked to NYSC for some chest and shoulders.

I walked back to the townhouse to grab my clothes and took the train home. I ate and then walked down to 108th for a haircut. I have found a good barber--he gave me what he called a "white boy" cut...just the way I like it.

I went home and showered. I browsed the internet and then folded some laundry, picked up my place, and filed some paperwork. Its been about 2 weeks since I've spent any time here. My apartment is due for a cleaning. I watched 20 minutes of I Robot.

At 9pm I took the train to 51st and met up with Dave and Nicole, Adam and a friend of his Azaam at Opal. Dave got a little beligerant and left aorund 11pm. I was gonna leave, but ended up hanging out at Turtle Bay a bit longer.

I got home at 1215, got some food for tomorrow at the deli, read and went to sleep.

Wednesday, July 13, 2005

Wednesday, July 13th 2005

I slept somewhat poorly and woke up at 730am. I ate breakfast and refilled the Brita; I am the house's Brita slave. I walked to HCID and had a meeting with Brett and Geyi in the morning.

I did some investigation and it appears that we may after all be able to charge a lot of money for our sevices. I left feeling better about our product, things might be coming together after all.

At 115 I left the office and walked home. I took a catnap on my couch and, at 330, headed over to 59th for a bike ride. When I was done I walked to the Townhouse and showered.

For dinner I broiled a piece of salmon which had been lying around the fridge for about 10 months. It was one of the most enjoyable things I've had in a while. I talked on the phone, did some laundry, and took care of some business.

I went to bed at 1130pm.

Tuesday, July 12, 2005

Tuesday, July 12th 2005

I'm stuck at the townhouse again. I'm gonna try and go to sleep at 1030 tonight so I can wake up real early. The key to housesitting is maximizing the amount of hours you can be sleeping while at work.

Earlier today, before leaving the townhouse, I chatted with Rosario, the housekeeper. She told me, for what must be the fourth time, how much she loves cleaning. I find this very hard to believe. Who enjoys cleaning other people's things? It just doesn't make sense.

Rosario is wise. How could she, a passionate cleaning enthusiast, leave something dirty on purpose?

I was at HCID from 915 - 230. I picked up some ink cartridges at Staples during the day. The saleswoman asked me to donate $1.50 to some children's charity and I left feeling bad about myself.

After work I rode a bike for 15 miles. I went home, showered and ate. I got to the Townhouse at 450pm. I went to a supermarket nearby and purchased $140 worth of paper towels and toilet paper. Having guaranteed the cleaniness of our rear-ends for the next one thousand years, I chatted with the guy installing CK's closets, about (you guessed it) closets.

Monday, July 11, 2005

Monday, July 11th 2005

I was up at 815am. I made a cheese sandwich for breakfast, dressed and left for work. I stopped in at the healthfood store for a few loaves of bread and went to the deli to purchase some chicken. I arrived at HCID at 930.

The only one in the office, I put on NPR and created a spreadsheet of companies which HCID might be interested in linking with. I ranked the companies based on several criteria. I chatted with Dave on IM.

I left the office after eating some lunch at 1145. I walked back to the townhouse and picked up my old computer tower and brought it back by subway to my home on Lexington. I hung out for a few minutes and then took the train down to 77th. I visited the NYSC there for a back workout.

I was home by 3pm. I showered and shaved and ate some food. At 430 I took the train back to the Townhouse. I ate some turkey chili which Molly had made back in September and frozen.

CK decided to visit for the day. I unpacked a few chairs and then went over to 502 to pick up some mail. Tatiana, a concierge there, vented about her job for a solid fifteen minutes. When I returned I read a few good articles from the New Yorker.

CK had some guests over at 715pm for drinks. They left for dinner at 8pm, I picked up the bar. I ate some more turkey chili and mixed nuts and then sat on the computer upstairs.

I retired at 1030 and read until 1115 when I made an attempt to fall asleep. I did not sleep particularly well.

Sunday, July 10, 2005

Sunday, July 10th 2005

I got up at 730 am and packed my clothes. I ate breakfast and waited for my dad to pick me up. When he arrived we drove to Hanscom airforce base and flew down Teterborough airport.

The flight was easy, I got a car to take me to the Townhouse for a rediculous fee. I arrived at 11am and chatted with James for a half an hour. After he left I made some lunch and sat around. I watched some tv and surfed the internet...the usual. Marla came by at 3pm to pick up some clothes, we caught up.

At 515pm I walked over to NYSC on 76th and 1st and worked out. I got home and showered. I made some food for tomorrow and swept in front of the townhouse. I conversed on IM until 9pm when I half watched some tv.

At 10pm I made my bed and did some reading. I was out by 1030.

Saturday, July 9th 2005

I woke up at 1030 and after sitting around for a bit I drove to Brandeis. I went to a parking lot and did 20 100m jumproping sprints, it took me about 40 minutes.

I drove home and showered. At 1pm Dan W. came over. We drove to a diner in Wellesley for lunch. After we finished eating we went over to Dan's parents house. At 330 pm we drove back to my house and Dan left for his aparment in Kenmore Square.

I hung out in Weston until 530. I then drove to Ilia's apartment. We hung out and jammed--I played the keyboard...poorly. At 7pm I got some food at Kiki's and then Ilia and I drove to the North End to pick up Jason.

When we got back to Ilia's we played some bumper pool. Arnie came over, and then Goat, and later Bean. We sat around the table until 11pm when we walked over to a party. It was a friend of Gerald's. Everything was going good until the beer ran out.

At 1245 we walked to the last drop. I stayed there for about 30 minutes and then drove home. I got home and watched tv until 2am when I went to sleep.

Friday, July 8th 2005

I woke up at 9am and went out for some breakfast. I relaxed a little in the morning and watched the news.

At 11 I dragged a kayak from our garage down to the lake. I went kayaking for an hour and a half. It was cold and raining, not ideal for water sports. I figured I should take advantage of the lake while I had the chance.

I returned the kayak to its proper resting place and showered. I ate lunch, did some reading and then drove back to Weston. I got home in a little less than two hours.

I sat around Weston for a bit. At 830 Bean came by and picked me up. We drove to Jason's apartment and collected him, we then drove over to George's apartment near Huntington Avenue.

We hung out. Joff came through, and River's girlfriend was around. At 11pm we went out to 'Our House'. Ilia came after his family activities. We drove over to Boylston and went to Whisky's. There were a lot of Weston kids there.

At 130 Bean drove Jason and I home. I went to bed at 330.

Thursday, July 7th 2005

I woke up at 1030 and ate an ample breakfast. I then drove to Srirup's apartment and picked him up. We went over to Tufts and did a workout at the gymnasium there.

It took about an hour to get back to Srirup's place. I hung out for an hour or so and ate some cereal. At 3pm I drove home. I packed up a few things and showered. At 430pm I left for Cape Cod.

I got down in about 2 hours. The landscaping at the house was a little out of control, otherwise the place was as good as ever. I didn't do much that night. It was raining. I picked up some food at the supermarket and made dinner.

I read and watched television, going to sleep around 12.

Wednesday, July 06, 2005

Wednesday, July 6th 2005

I woke up at 9am and spent the next few hours watching tv. It was pouring this morning. I made a large breakfast at 1115, then dressed and drove over to Mt. Aburn St. to meet up with my father.

He showed me around the Aberdeen Lofts. At 1pm we went over to his sports club and had a personal training session along with his partners. At 215 pm we left and drove over to Harvard Square. I went to lunch with my father at Legal Seafoods.

At 330 I went over to his office and chatted for a bit. I left at 4 and drove home. I showered and relaxed for a bit. At 530 I drove over to Ilia's apartment.

Robbie came over and later Bean and Srirup rolled through. Along with Alex (Ilia's roomate) we played some poker. Bean was the bigger winner.

I left around midnight, drove home and went to sleep.

Tuesday, July 05, 2005

Tuesday, July 5th 2005

I woke up at 1030am. After eating I walked my bike to the Mobil station in order to fill the tires up with 'Free Air'. The back tire turned out to be flat so I had to walk it home. I showered and dressed and drove to the Natick Mall.

I picked up some shirts and returned. My mom and I then went to Filene's basement where I purchased some socks. On the way back we stopped at the Supermarket and purchased food.

I got home, ate and took a nap. At 530 I drove to Brighton and met up with Ilia at his apartment. George and Srirup came over. We watched RoboCop and hung out. While we were hanging on the back porch an animal started making strange noises. Nothing came of it.

I drove Srirup home and then took the Pke back, I was home by midnight. I did some reading and went to bed.

Monday, July 4th 2005

I got up at 11am. I called Greg to wish him a happy birthday (Happy Birthday Greg!). I ate half of a sandwich for breakfast and then drove over to Brandeis where I found a long parking lot and performed 20 jump roping sprints.

I came home and showered, ate some food and iced my gimp ankle. I sat around Weston for a little while. My mom had gone to a James Taylor concert...Weston is BORING! At 2pm I drove to Harvard Square and met up with Chris R. and his friend Alex.

We ended up driving to Tufts to meet up with Jason at his sister's Fourth of July party. It was a good time...Laura did an excellent job throwing the party. Beebs was there, as well as Matt, Jason's former roomate. There was plenty of PBR to go around.

We stayed a long time, finally leaving at 7pm. Jason and I were driven by Matt over to Jason's apartment in the North End. We were planning on hitting up a rooftop party in the South End to see the fire works. We decided against this when we heard that party sucked. Instead we hung out for a little while and then drove back to Tufts.

Laura's house was dead on arrival so we went to Davis Square instead. Davis was seemingly evacuated. We hung out in front of Mike's and shared more than a few laughs. At 10pm we walked to the Library rooftop to catch a view of the fireworks.

I drove home at 1130pm, ate some food and read myself to sleep.

Sunday, July 03, 2005

Sunday, July 3rd 2005

I was up at 8am. I cleaned up what little mess I had created over the last four days and waited for James to arrive. He got to the townhouse at 9am. I went to NYSC and had a dismal workout; I was very disapointed in myself, especially after having so much rest.

I returned to the townhouse and picked up my laundry. I brought it back to my apartment, where I showered, ate and packed. At 12pm I left for Penn Station. I redeemed my 'Will Call' bus ticket at the desk (every machine was broken). I boarded the bus to Framingham at 1pm.

I slept and read on the bus. There was some really corny movie on which I tried unsuccesfully to watch. About one hour into the journey an irritating buzzing noise started to eminate from the left side of the bus. It lasted the duration of the journey.

We arrived on time at 5pm. My mom picked me up and drove me back to Weston. I ate a sandwich and then drove over to a baseball diamond. I met up with Ilia, Bean, and John and George Serianedes as they were wrapping up a game of home run derby. At 630pm we went back to Jon's apartment and hung out. We went to 7-11 to get some beer, ordered some food from a pizza place and hung out.

At 10pm I went over too Ilia's apartment so he could shower before we went out. Here I am updating. We left at 1030 and picked up Jason at his apartment in the North End. From there we headed over to Beacon Street to a few different bars. Steph met up with us, and then Chris and a friend of his, Ilia's roomate Alex came out as well.

At closing time we went over to Chris R. apartment at the Belvedere. His parents were away. We hung out there for a while, leaving around three. Ilia dropped Jason off, then we went to the Sheraton to pick up Steph's phone which she had misplaced.

After getting back to Ilia's I drove home. I was home at 4, I showered and went to sleep.

I spent the day at the townhouse under paid house arrest. Iwoke up at 545 and snuck back to my apartment to pick up some clothes. I'm gonna have to give a synopsis of my day activities because I have a train to catch.

I took some pictures which I posted, made myself a new and improved resume, picked up some mail and sent it to Oklahoma, cooked some ground turkey which I ate throughout the day. I watched tv, hungout, read, didn't do too much.

It was a shitty day to work. There were a lot of other places I would have rather been. But, on the whole I shouldn't complain--not many jobs allow one to do nothing all day and get paid well.

I went to sleep after midnight. Posts might be a little more sporadic from here on out...I'm headed back to Weston for a week or so, where I lack an internet connection.

I woke up at 730 and had a turkey sandwich for breakfast, I packed up some turkey for lunch. Its like Thanksgiving over here. I dressed for work and watched tv until Rosario came, around 9am. I walked over to HCID.

The morning was productive and interesting. I created several different layouts giving an overview of our product using Adobe Illustrator. Geyi was getting a little upset that we have been creating media kits nonstop, but are failing to send any out. Her frustration is understandable.

I left at 115pm and walked around Central Park's Reservoir to Rustam and Jill's apartment. When I got over there Jill gave me the run around I ended up having walked to the West Side for nothing. I had an enjoyable conversation by telephone on the way over, so not all was lost.

I took the 2/3 and met up with Srirup and Arni at a HOJO on 51st and 8th. Cheyenne and a few other brown kids were in the city. They had all come for the 25th North American Bengali Conference. I've known a lot of Indian's in my day (not Native American's) and in that time have developed a liking for their community and culture. It took them a while to sort out their hotel room; they felt disatisfied with the service provided by hotel.com.

I left at 415 and walked over to the Townhouse where I will be housesitting for the next 40 hours straight. I'm definately missing out on a lot of excitement this weekend: 1) 600 indian kids running absolutely crazy in the streets of NYC, 2) a summer rental in Upstate NY.

TV and internet are poor subsitutes for real life. I sat around the house, ate, watched television and read on the internet and some books. I showered at 9pm and went to sleep by 1130.
